What are the distances for each event?

What are the start times for each event?

Wheelchair – 8:55 a.m.
9k – 9:00 a.m.
.9 Mile Walk – 9:10 a.m.

What are the packet pickup dates/locations?

Race morning – 7:30 a.m. – 8:50 am @ Liberty Park, Salt Lake City

What is the time limit to complete the race?

Police support will end at 10:30 a.m. However, you may continue to run after that time without the aid of police.

What time is the awards ceremony?

10:00 a.m. for all events

Are there awards?

Overall 9k Winners (male and female) – $90
Medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age division and all finishers will receive a finisher band.

What are the Age Divisions for the 9k?

1-5               6-9
10-14         15-19
20-24        25-29
30-34        35-39
40-45        46-54
55-64         65+

How many aid stations and what type of fluid replacements are offered?

There will be 2 water and aid stations along the 9k course. We will also have plenty of liquid at the Finish Line Compound.

Are there any post-race medical attention/massage therapy and locations?

There will be medical support at the Start and Finish Line Compound and at every aid station along the course. We will also have massage therapists at the Finish Line Compound to help relax & loosen up tight muscles.

What kind of food/drinks are at the finish line?

There will be water and sports drinks for all participants. We will also have a delicious Magleby’s Fresh breakfast ready for you as you cross the finish line!

Will portable bathrooms be on the course?

Yes, at the Start and Finish Line Compound.

Can I run the courses without registering?

No. All runners without a Donate Life Utah bib will be directed off the course immediately.

Am I allowed to use my Portable Music Device during the race?

Yes – Rule 144.3 states, “The Games Committee for an LDR event may allow the use of portable listening devices not capable of receiving communication: however, those competing in Championships for awards, medals or prize money may not use such devices.”

Are there Timing Chips & Race Numbers?

All official entrants will receive a timing chip along with their race bib number. The timing chip is to be worn on your shoelace. Please use instructions in chip bag for proper use – it is to be worn on your shoe.  Failure to return the timing chip will result in a $50 replacement fee.

If I get injured or for some other reason can’t run after I have registered, can I have my money refunded?

No, however, you can transfer your registration to another runner. To do this, you will have to e-mail your information and the new runner’s information to dennis@run13.com. The new runner will have to send in a signed registration form, which can be downloaded. If you cannot find anyone to take your place, while we will not offer a refund, we will still provide you with your race shirt and race packet.

Will there be pacers on the course?

There will be no pacers, but there will be a lead off scooter and a trailing scooter to follow the last runner. We will also be lining up runners according to their pace per mile at the start line – please line up accordingly and allow the faster runners to gather at the front of the pack.

Where are good places for my family to watch the race?

The best place is at the Start and Finish Line Compound. Also, have your family check out the interactive course maps online and they may find a great place to cheer you on.

Where do I get my timing chip?

At pre-race packet pickup or the morning of the race.

Will there be a Finish line party?

Yes, the finish line will be a party. We will have amazing food and entertainment. Please feel free to bring blankets and chairs to relax on at the finish line.
