Every minute in the USA, one person dies from cancer. One out of every two men and one out of every three women will have cancer. Huntsman Cancer Institute is committed to winning the war against cancer. Huntsman Cancer Foundation’s sole purpose is to fund the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute: to understand cancer from its beginnings, to use that knowledge in the creation and improvement of cancer treatments, to relieve the suffering of cancer patients, and to provide education about cancer risk, prevention, and care.

By participating in the Pioneer Day Classic you are joining the ongoing fight against cancer, a cause that is near and dear to many of us at Run13. In addition to the monies generated from the event, our volunteer coordinator has offered to match up to $1,000 for any additional donations made to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
