If running 26.2 miles doesn’t quite sound like your idea of fun, then how does 3.1 sound? Better? Good! Because this year’s Provo City 5k is going to be a fun one. Provo City Mayor, John R. Curtis, wants to know if you think you can beat him…even with a head start. We will start our great Mayor one minute early and it’s up to you to catch him, say hello, and leave him in the dust! Those elite runners that make it past Mayor Curtis will be given a custom window sticker boasting that you did, in fact, beat the mayor. So get ready to sprint, jog, walk or crawl your way across the finish line…just make sure you save enough energy to join in on the festivities at the after-party. As always, all 5k participants are chip timed, receive performance tech shirts, treated to post-race massages and Magelby’s Fresh breakfast. Medals will be awarded to top 3 finishers in each age division with cash prizes going to top overall winners. So be a part of this year’s Provo City Marathon for a fraction of the pain and register now!
