COVID-19 Updates

Due to COVID-19 and the government’s ban of all gatherings/events, we are deeply saddened that the 2020 Provo City Half Marathon will be postponed to May 1st, 2021.

We are devastated by this situation (for a myriad of reasons) as we have already spent several months and dollars getting ready for our originally scheduled event. However, we want to thank all of the local officials and authorities that are continuing to work closely with us and have been understanding of our requests to try and delay this postponement for as long as possible. Also thank you, to our Run13 Family, for your patience as we continue to navigate during this historic time.

For our 2020 Provo City Half Marathon registrants, although we do not offer refunds, all participants will be able to choose between the following options:

Option 1 – Automatic Deferment

All current registrants will be automatically deferred to the 2021 Provo City Half Marathon – 5k – Kids Marathon event on May 1st, 2021. (This also includes those that were willing to transfer if the Hobbler occurred in 2020). All Provo City Half Marathon participants will automatically be deferred and you don’t need to do a thing unless you choose another option. We’ll see you on May 1, 2021.

Option 2 – Transfer to the 2021 Hobbler Half Marathon:

If next year’s date doesn’t work with your calendar, you can opt to transfer to our 2021 Hobbler Half Marathon on July 10th. All transfer charges will be waived and we’d be happy to host you at the Hobbler Half Marathon if this option works better for you.

Use the link “” and login using your username and password. Once you’ve reached this page, you can edit your registration whether it be to double-check that it’s correct, change categories, change events, or option #3.

Option 3 – Transfer or “Sell” your entry to another runner:

If the first two options just absolutely don’t work for you, you may transfer or “sell” your entry to another runner. To transfer your registration to someone else, use “” for that as well. (transfer fees will be waived due to circumstances).

Any further updates will be posted on our website at and on our Run13 Facebook page. Many thanks for your patience as we make these and countless other adjustments related to our events.

On a personal note, thank you for the emails, calls, and messages of love, support, and empathy from so many of you in the running community who know how hard this has been for us and the impact this will have on our family. We at Run13 know how difficult these changes can be and are devastated by this outcome and share in your anxieties, frustrations, and sadness. Our hearts and thoughts are with all of our athletes and partners, past and present, and their families during this difficult time. We remain hopeful that we’ll get to see you all at a start-line soon!

Positive Wishes,

The Run13 Team
