COVID-19 Updates

Due to COVID-19 and the government’s ban of all gatherings/events, we are deeply saddened that the 2020 Provo City Half Marathon will be postponed to May 1st, 2021.

We are devastated by this situation (for a myriad of reasons) as we have already spent several months and dollars getting ready for our originally scheduled event. However, we want to thank all of the local officials and authorities that are continuing to work closely with us and have been understanding of our requests to try and delay this postponement for as long as possible. Also thank you, to our Run13 Family, for your patience as we continue to navigate during this historic time.

For our 2020 Provo City Half Marathon registrants, although we do not offer refunds, all participants will be able to choose between the following (2) options:

Option 1 – Automatic Deferment

All current registrants will be automatically rolled over to the 2021 Provo City Half Marathon – 5k – Kids Marathon event on May 1st, 2021. If this is the option for you, it’s automatically taken care of and you don’t need to do a thing. We’ll see you on May 1, 2021.

Option 2 – Transfer to the Hobbler Half Marathon:

For those eager beavers that can’t stand the thought of waiting another year (like us), all of our 2020 PCHM registrants will have the chance to transfer their registration (obviously with no transfer fees) to our Hobbler Half Marathon on July 11th, 2020. All individuals that choose this option will receive an additional commemorative medal, plus other items/additions celebrating how we conquered COVID-19 and the historic Quarantine! Our hope is to turn this July event into a “Social Isolation Busting Party!

To try and help reduce the stress during this chaotic time, all registrants will have until May 2nd, 2020 to choose this option. Simply click the Envelope link below and let us know that you’d still like to party in 2020!

Any further updates will be posted on our website at and on our Run13 Facebook page. We will be re-sending your registration confirmation email to use as a reference for those who choose Option #2. Simply email us your full name and birthdate and we’ll make the changes internally for you. We have a feeling this will be our most popular option, so if possible, let us know once you have decided. Many thanks for your patience as we make these and countless other adjustments related to our events.

On a personal note, thank you for the emails, calls, and messages of love, support, and empathy from so many of you in the running community who know how hard this has been for us and the impact this will have on our family. We at Run13 know how difficult these changes can be and are devastated by this outcome and share in your anxieties, frustrations, and sadness. Our hearts and thoughts are with all of our athletes and partners, past and present, and their families during this difficult time. We remain hopeful that we’ll get to see you all at a start-line soon!

Positive Wishes,

The Run13 Team
